The original Edge was probably the most popular Quake II map. While the days of Quake II are long past, the days of the Edge live on in this reconstruction that attaches The Edge to itself for a full-blown CTF map.

The flags look over the well-remembered rocky area of The Edge, and two new towers have been created to let the map flow so much more smoothly. Pulses in the floor guide the player to each base's flag.

Textures in the game that are not original Unreal Tournament files are imported textures created by John Martin, creator of the flag bases also used here. John has since released these textures as a separate texture pack, available by downloading his map CTF-AYF]I[ from www.unrealplayground.com.

Copyrighting
------------

This is a final, complete map. You may use this map as a base for new maps, but both myself and id games must be credited in the readme file, which itself must be present in any release of the new map.

The original architecture is copyrighted by id games. A new area was designed and added (twice) by me. I claim no credit for designing the base map. I just re-did it.

All textures included in the MyLevel package, i.e. those packaged within the map itself, are copyrighted by John Martin and are used with his express permission. The exceptions are the screenshot, the gradients, and the floor texture combining grass and metal. That floor texture is a hybrid of two textures copyrighted by Epic.

You may not use these textures without express permission from the creator thereof.

The .u file included with this zip is also copyright John Martin.

Do not distribute these files except as an intact copy of the original archive.
